At times I feel foolish when it comes to recognizing what God is doing around me. Usually, I'm only able to comprehend the full implications of God's action after it has happened.
But I guess I'm in good company..."His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written of him and had been done to him." (John 12:16 NRSV)
Obviously, I'm not the only one who has limited understanding, but that doesn't give me an excuse to stay "blind". I need to be more able to see what God is doing and help others see (like Elisha in 2 Kings 6). The only way that will happen is for me to ask God to open my eyes to His kingdom, keep my mind consistent in reading God's Word and listen for God's voice to speak to my heart.
I want to see what God is doing so I can participate today...
not just reminisce tomorrow.
