"If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
(1 John 1:9)
God will forgive me when I confess my sin to Him. There is never a time limit or a limit placed on the amount of occurrences. God always forgives me.
God forgives me...and cleanses me from "all" unrighteousness. When God forgives, there is no sin residue or leftovers. It's not like God wipes the whiteboard clean, leaving the smear marks--it's more like He replaces the whiteboard with a brand new one. I am be completely "clean" when I confess my sin to God.
But I notice the writer says "If we confess"...
What would keep me from confessing my sin to a God like this?
