Did you know God guides by what He provides or doesn't provide?

We see this clearly in the experience of the prophet Elijah...
The LORD said to Elijah, “Go to the east and hide by Kerith Brook, near where it enters the Jordan River. Drink from the brook and eat what the ravens bring you, for I have commanded them to bring you food.” So Elijah did as the LORD told him and camped beside Kerith Brook, east of the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat each morning and evening, and he drank from the brook.
(1 Kings 17:2-6)

During droughts, creeks, brooks and wadis are the first bodies of water to dry up. This was a divine provision by God for Elijah...and then God adds his heavenly catering service to the mix by having ravens bring food to Elijah.

God is amazing in so many ways!

Elijah obeyed and everything happened as God said, but then he faced a change...
After a while the brook dried up, for there was no rainfall anywhere in the land.
(1 Kings 17:7)

Sometimes God pushes us to take a step of obedience by not providing something... Sometimes God wants us to move on and we need a little nudge in the right direction.
