What did Jesus tells his followers?
“Stay right where you are and preserve everything that I have given you."
(2 Hesitations 4:3)

That seems like what the early Jewish believers thought in Acts 15. God gave us the law and we can’t let people trample all over it...we must preserve it. And in their efforts, they stopped where they were and were no longer moving forward.
Why? It’s because it
was how they were raised…it’s what they were used to.
It was meaningful to them so they didn’t want to change anything or lose anything.
They wanted things to stay exactly the same because of all it meant to them.
It was meaningful to them so they didn’t want to change anything or lose anything.
They wanted things to stay exactly the same because of all it meant to them.
Problem is...Jesus said...“Go and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." (Matthew
28:19)
There is no hint of maintaining or preserving or stopping anywhere in what Jesus said. All we see is GOING…MOVING…ADVANCING the Kingdom of God.
