In the midst of teaching us to not worry or fear, Jesus says the most amazing thing..."Even the hairs of your head are all counted." (Matthew 10:30 NRSV)Does God really keep a tally of the hairs on my head? Even the ones left in the shower drain or hairbrush?
I don't know if Jesus was speaking literally or not. But I'm quite sure he's making a very clear point...God loves and cares about me.
This is a very important message for me to hear today...not because I plan on losing hair, but because I don't know what this new year holds. As I step into 2008, I can relax in the hands of a God who cares about my life--probably more than I realize.
