I read a bumper sticker that got me thinking..."The heart is in the left."This is a political statement intended
on slamming the "right", but that's not
what it caused me to think about.
I realize that compassion and caring (heart) isn't found in either party. In fact, it really isn't found much in governmental, religious or business leaders...except for Jesus.
Take a look at the scene I read about today..."People were bringing children to him in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to me; do not stop them." (Mark 10:13-15 NRSV)
Within Jesus' interactions with people, you discover that he was all about "heart". This is what I should be all about as well.
Why am I more like the Republicans or Democrats than Jesus?
