I enjoy experiencing new things and new places. There's nothing like tasting new food or wearing a new shirt.
In a verse toward the end of the Bible, God says... "See, I am making all things new." (Revelations 21:5 NRSV)
At the core of the Kingdom is God making all things new. This is the reason Jesus came, died and rose again--to initiate a new covenant. Ultimately, at the end of human history, God will bring newness to everything that exists.
Personally, I don't want to wait until the end of time. I am open today...I welcome freshness in my spiritual life, in my marriage, in my home life, in my job, in my friendships--in all areas. I'm receptive to God's "new" because I trust in His awareness, knowledge and understanding of how I need to develop.
In the weeks ahead, I look forward to experiencing the "new" God wants to bring in my life. Life is so much more exciting and rewarding when you move freely with all God is doing.
