Caleb

It was my idea to name our 2nd child "Caleb" after the biblical character I always admired. He and Joshua courageously proclaimed that the people of Israel should immediately possess the land for God was with them (Numbers 14).

Now, as my 17 year old is in Trig class at the local Junior college, I read this verse about the biblical Caleb that speaks to me even more..."Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb because he wholly followed the Lord." (Joshua 14:14 ESV)

That's what I want for our Caleb...and all our kids. For them to experience all that God has for them as they wholeheartedly follow God. I consistently ask God to sensitize their hearts so they hear and obey His voice. It's easy to miss out on God's best because of disobedience or distraction.

I wonder what city is in our Caleb's future?
