As I read about King Hezekiah today, a specific line grabbed my attention..."God left him to himself, in order to test him and
to know all that was in his heart." (2 Chronicles 32:31 ESV)
There have been times when I have taken steps--after receiving God's unmistakable direction--only then to face a time when it seems God is vague. The clarity was there on the front end, but as I wait for things to play out, God's input seems to get fuzzy.
I have to admit...this drives me crazy. I wait and question only to have God remain non-specific which then becomes mind-boggling.
In these times, I have challenged His motives, when all along maybe God was checking mine.
I wonder how often "God leaves me" only to observe me?
