No Matter What

Right in the middle of the book of Job, I read...
"I know my Redeemer lives." (Job 19:25)

This phrase comes from the lips of a man who has lived his life God's way, and yet has lost everything--his family, his possessions, his job and his health in a 48 hour period. At this point, the shock has worn off and he is confused, disillusioned and discouraged. But despite his feelings and circumstances, these words stand as a declaration of his heart.

I see so much in these words--
"I know my Redeemer lives"...God knows what I'm facing and He is the one who can do something about my situation.
"I know my Redeemer lives"...God is active and moving. He has life to offer in the face of death all around me.

But the best are the 2 words..."I know my Redeemer lives". There's a certainty, a conviction...at the core of his being.

Today I know this...
No matter what, I believe in a God who loves me and is in control.
