As I prepare for my weekend talk, I find myself mired in article after article about the financial fears people are facing as a result of our upside-down economy. I have to admit...based on what I'm reading and hearing, things seem bleak.To offset my thinking, I began reading my Bible where I left off yesterday and find myself at a very poignant verse..."For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)
Is there any coincidence that I read these words today?
I don't think so...I need to take them to heart.
