He Did Everything

A phrase has grabbed my attention in Genesis 6-7...
"Noah did everything that God commanded him."
(6:22, 7:5)
That's simply amazing in light of what God was telling Noah.

First, God told Noah it would "rain".
Probably a completely foreign concept to Noah since many biblical researchers conclude it hadn't rained before this time.

Next, God told Noah that the whole earth would be flooded.
Total annihilation of humans, animals and plants.

Next, God told Noah to build a BIG boat. Researchers believe they were located in the middle of the desert--nowhere near an ocean.

Lastly, God said He would take care of Noah and his family, along with the animals, on the boat.

With all that said, "Noah did everything that God commanded him".

I know where this kind of trust came from...
"Noah walked with God." (Genesis 6:9)

I want to get to the point of trusting God that much...
And I think it starts walking with Him a day at a time.
