The God Who Sees

Sarah and Abraham couldn't have children. So Sarah decided to give her servant Hagar to her husband in hopes of having children through her--somewhat common in ancient times.

Hagar became pregnant and Sarah mistreated her. Soon Hagar ran away, feeling alone and confused.

In her distress, the Angel of the Lord came and spoke to her words of reassurance and purpose. And notice what Hagar says..."So she name the Lord who spoke to her: The God Who Sees, for she said, 'Have I really seen the One who sees me?'" (Genesis 16:13 HCSB)

There are days when I need to be reminded of the God "who sees me" and realize that He knows everything I'm facing and feeling.
