"I call to God who fulfills His purpose for me." (Psalm 57:2)The obvious grabs my attention...
(1) God has a purpose for my life
On routine days like today, that speaks volumes to my heart.
(2) God is fulfilling that purpose
When I obey God, He uses everything that happens to me and around me to bring about His plan in my life.
Truths like these make an impact in my heart...but the backstory of this verse adds so much to the context and contents of it.
David wrote this while hiding from a crazy King Saul--words of purpose in the midst of a serious, life-threatening situation.
Here's the point... David believed God knew what He was doing even though it didn't look or feel like it.
I seek trust in God like that by making David's words my own.
