Sometimes we act as though God has a suggestion box...
like we can suggest a better way of doing something to Him.

We talk to God in this way because we can figure things out.

For instance, we can forecast weather pretty accurately based on our understanding of high pressure, how pressure, wind currents, etc. We’ve figured out a lot about life systems...DNA, chromosomes and genetics. We’ve figured out how God does some of the things He does.

Another reason we think this way is that we can control things.

We can slow down the aging process...we can cause or increase reproduction...we can change the affects a disease has on a person. In some areas, we can even bend or cheat the laws of nature...like defying gravity by flying in an airplane.

We’re so advanced that we’ve learned ways to manipulate things, create environments and cause things that change things. We understand so many things and with that knowledge comes a bit of arrogance.

It's kinda like what happened the first time you figured out a magician's trick...and the magician’s status was lowered in your eyes because you figured it out. Since we know how you do it, we're not as impressed with you as we used to be and we feel we can question and make suggestions.

But even though, we live in an incredibly advanced culture...
What if God is really "God"?
What if we don’t have the right to question God’s way of doing things?

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” (Isaiah 55:8)
