When I have sensed God "shutting the door" on a plan, my usual knee-jerk reaction is to try and find another way to make it happen. My intent isn't to ignore or disobey God...I just want to accomplish a plan, especially when that plan is something I want to experience.I'm not proud of how I so often respond. I realize this isn't the best way to respond. But I see that I'm in good company because the apostle Paul did it too..."Their plan was to turn west into Asia, but the Holy Spirit blocked that route. So they went to Mysia and tried to go north, but the Spirit wouldn't let them go there either." (Acts 16:6-7 MSG)
I'm very thankful that God continues to lovingly direct me despite my second and third attempts.
