Part of a phrase catches my attention--"...by sending His own Son to deal with sin..." (Romans 8:3 NRSV)
I know why God sent Jesus to deal with sin...because I can't do it on my own.
There are residue sins that occasionally surface that have been in me for years. Despite my efforts, I have not been able to rid myself of certain sinful attitudes, thoughts and actions. When they "pop up", I get frustrated by my failure.
I'm so glad there is someone I can turn to...Jesus...
the One who can handle what I can't.
